Breakfast is over, the horses are saddled, and your day at the Flying E Ranch begins with a ride out over rolling desert hills to check for newborn calves. At the Flying E, a dude and working cattle ranch, the casual and relaxed atmosphere is as naturally as our gorgeous sunsets.

With the bluest of blue skies, craggy mountains surrounding you, excellent food and the legendary hospitality of the Old West, the Flying E Ranch is the ideal place to take a step back in time.  Clean air, warm sun, good horses, breathtaking scenery and genuine cowboys as your guides will fill your hearts with memories to treasure for the rest of your life.

Flying E Dude Ranch is located 4 miles west of Wickenburg, near the famous Vulture Peak rock formation and home of historical Vulture Gold Mine.  Most folks find they prefer being involved in the many activities here at the ranch, but you also have the option of seeing other famous areas.  We’re only 4 hours (driving) from the Grand Canyon, 2 hours from scenic Sedona and red rock country, and 1.5 hour north of Phoenix.  You might also consider an overnight to Las Vegas, NV, just 5 hours away from the ranch.

The calendar may say winter, but that has a whole, new meaning in Arizona.  Our winters are warm and dry, averaging temperatures in the mid-70s. The nights are cool and refreshing, illuminated by a canopy of brilliant stars.

We are relaxed and casual; jeans are the height of our dress code. Bring a warm jacket for those cool nights, but don’t forget your swimsuits for the heated pool and hot tub.  If you don’t have your own, we have boots and hats to loan.

Guest rooms are immaculate, comfortable, and definitely western.  All rooms have wet bars, refrigerators, private baths, twin or king-size beds, along with electric heat and air conditioning.

Each room provides the ideal starting place for your day on the ranch, or a quiet, lazy-day retreat and a restful night.   Surrounding the main lodge, the rooms are easily accessible to dining and other ranch activities.
Flying E Happy Hour

In the main lodge the coffee pot is always on and the cookie jar always full!  Fresh air really sharpens the appetite, and you’ll find yourself eagerly awaiting the sound of the chow bell! Before dinner, adults can join us in the saloon for our BYOB Happy Hour and tasty appetizers.   Delicious, bountiful meals are prepared by our Flying E ranch cooks and served up family-style in the dining room.

While the dining room is limited to ranch guests, we are happy to welcome your friends and family if arrangements are made in advance.
